Moving the Wheel

Code on Wheels is working towards adding more diversity into the tech industry by bringing development to the students

Our Mission: To Bridge the STEM Gap

To bring technology and curriculums to underrepresented communities. We envision our students using coding and technical skills as tools to shape their future.

Our target audience includes elementary, middle, and high school students, with a particular emphasis on reaching those who might not otherwise have access to quality

STEM education.

“Code on Wheels is driven by a singular vision: to bring technology and curricula to underrepresented communities. We believe that every child, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to shape their future through coding and technical skills.”

Executive Director, Code on Wheels

Worrisome Data

Recent data from the Pew Research Center highlights the pressing need for our work

27%

of the STEM workforce are women

17%

of the STEM workforce are people of color

Let’s Change the Stats

We're committed to changing these statistics by inspiring youth to explore the vast possibilities of STEM careers.

  • Hands-on, engaging curricula with skilled instructors who excel at making complex concepts accessible and relatable.

  • Spark curiosity, build confidence, and equip the next generation with the skills they need to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.

By bridging the gap between underrepresented communities and STEM education, we're not just teaching code – we're opening doors to future opportunities and helping to create a more diverse and inclusive tech industry.

See How We Are Doing It

We are providing free coding education to people of all ages and backgrounds. We believe that coding is a skill that everyone should have access to, and we work hard to make our classes as affordable as possible.
